RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 16, 2009

No way! D: Well at least I know it's not my fault then. I was so annoyed, I decided I was gonna start again on Crystal (well, my friend deleted my file so I didn't have much of a choice) and I planned it out and everything and then EVERYTHNG BACKFIRES. And to this day, I have never owned a Vulpix, one of my fave Pokémon. ;__;

And I don't have an N64 so I am totally crashing your house at some point. XD

RE: nintendo DSi - Ash - Apr. 16, 2009

I had to restart my laptop so I lost my emulation Pokemon Silver save Unhappy

It's called not emulating. =P

Or auto-save, whichever way you want it. Wink

lol, no problem. I have the pikachu one where it's cheeks light up when you turn it on and the power switch is a pokeball. <3

RE: nintendo DSi - Roan - Apr. 16, 2009

That means nothing.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 16, 2009

If you own a copy why not play that instead? Or at least put the file on a memory stick.......
And Pikachao, I always wanted that one when I was little. It was all over the Pokémon magazines (which I totally read) and everything. XD

Which magazines did you read?

Pokémon World went down the pan SO fast and so did Pokemon Official, they only realeased two or three issues of official and I happen to own a copy of the first issue. =D

I remember phoning Pokémon World so many times to correct them when I was younger. They started to get annoyed in the end. =/

RE: nintendo DSi - Giga - Apr. 17, 2009

It's legal if you have a hard copy.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

^ Pretty sure that's just what the ROM sites tell you to make them and yourself feel better? Tongue_out

^^ And I can't really remember. I mainly read my friends but I remember I had one copy of one of the older mags which I cherished and I was extremely upset when I though I'd lost it. I'm not sure if I still have it or not. I remember it had something in it about Weepingbell looking like Krusty the Klown. XD At least I think that was the one. And then I also had a load of the Pokémon World mags but, as you said, they weren't amazing. ^^; Oh and there was another one that I had for years which didn't have a cover (god knows what happened to it) but I guess it was a walkthrough/guide as it had the complete maps of everywhere in the Red and Blue games and list of all the Pokémon that could be caught there. I pretty much memorised the whole thing. XD

The first ones were amazing, but then later as the Pokémon "fad" ""died out"" they became a lot less informative (I believe they lost their good writers) and 'Professor Yew' got stuff wrong almost every magazine, I began to get bored of correcting him and hating his rubbish "free gift" carps.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

Hmm, I was hoping you might have been able to identify the first magazine. I'd love to know what it was called and be able to look out for it or something. :3

The Beckett and Pojo magazines were rather popular. Could it have been those? I'll have a scout through my shelf. (yes, I have a shelf with nothing but Pokémon books and magazines. xD)

EDIT: Gamebooks and checkerbee published trading card magazines amongst others, I was sure I had a few more magazine types based on the cards but they began to become hard to find mid-GSC and I might have lost the old ones. =/

EDIT2: Viz comics created movie and TV-series based comics and I believe I have one or two Pokémon Special manga magazines too though I think they were from some japanese import store.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

I don't think it had much to do with the cards in it. Don't think it came with a gift either but I could be wrong. I think there was a forest in it somewhere. Or that could've just been a picture that I drew. My memory is pretty hazy. XD

Try following up these links and googling some stuff.

EDIT: As far as I can remember they were the main magazines of the time.

By the way, you didn't ever write into Pokémon World did you? I don't think i ever bothered, by the time I was interested enough in the magazine they'd begun to lose my faith with their persistant mistakes lol.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 17, 2009

I don't think I've ever written into a magazine before. ^^;

Thanks for the links. Grin *hunts down magazine*

RE: nintendo DSi - cutewolfsam - May. 05, 2009

I honestly don't think that the DSi was as good as i thought it would be.

I don't mean to brag but I have been in Neo magazine twice. Joyful_2

Does anyone know if the DSi comes with a USB cable that you can transfer photos you have taken to your computer?

RE: nintendo DSi - cutewolfsam - May. 05, 2009

no it does not but you can buy a premium pack from game online for 15.00/16.00 quid.

It doesn't!? How anoying, that kind of thing should come as standard. :\

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - May. 05, 2009

I think you can put SD cards and such in the computer though right?

RE: nintendo DSi - Neeek - May. 05, 2009

You can't in mine though.
I think my cousin has a USB thingy that you can slot SD cards in, but i'd still rather have one of my own Lips_sealed

RE: nintendo DSi - To - May. 05, 2009

Bought a 2000 DSi points card today after I was disapointed with neither finding Klonoa or Patapon 2 in stores.

This.

I bought a $10 memory card reader that literally has a slot for every type of card that is still in circulation.

Sucks that you can't export the sound clips.

RE: nintendo DSi - Neeek - May. 17, 2009

Eeee, I love my DSi. It's so much fun and has kept me entertained for the past day.
Dr Mario is so adictive Gasp
