I have I own a GBA and a Gameboy Micro, maybe it is just me being weird, but I feel so awkward having two screens and only using one as it distracts me. It really doesn't help that I never found the DS's form factor to be exactly good on the hands.

RE: nintendo DSi - Neeek - Apr. 09, 2009

I'm going to buy a Gameboy micro, becuase I don't like playing GBA games on DS, this weekend.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 09, 2009

Neek, you broke the chain.
I guess I can see how it would be distracting. I've just played on it so much that it all feels natural. Same with the DS' form. When I think about it, I play with my second fingers on the front and my middle fingers on the R and L buttons. Which isn't really very comfortable at all, I've just got used to it. D:

But pubestache isn't on this page of the thread, everyones safe now. XD

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 09, 2009

Guess you're right. I failed myself anyway, as seen from my crappy coding. XD

RE: nintendo DSi - To - Apr. 12, 2009

I'm very mixed on my DSi. Parts I like, parts I don't like.

I knew it was going to be hard for me to read on this one. The Nintendo warning screen looks so fuzzy because it is just text. It looks so fuzzy because while Nintendo increased the DSi's screen size, the resolution is the same IIRC.

RE: nintendo DSi - Rocky - Apr. 12, 2009

^ I thought that. My mate just got one and when I turned it on it was all blurry......if that's a general thing then that's pretty dissapointing. They could've improved that surely. Just sends of a bad impression.

However, I do like the internet and the picture editing stuff. I still prefer my DS Phat for now but it's all very confusing. Parts of the DSi I like, parts I dislike.

RE: nintendo DSi - Narusuke - Apr. 12, 2009

I'm most likely going to be sticking with my DS Lite, mainly because from what I heard my R4 or most of the other carts wont work on the DSi.

RE: nintendo DSi - Roan - Apr. 13, 2009

I love my DSi. I have such an awesome time taking stupid pictures of my friends and making them even more stupid with the distortion and other filters. I don't think it's worth upgrading to if you already have one, but if you don't have a DS or DS Lite, I'd totally recommend it.

Plus the clicky buttons are for the win.

RE: nintendo DSi - To - Apr. 13, 2009

I hate the D pad on mine. It seems to go into diagonals too often.

RE: nintendo DSi - TheUnkownGod - Apr. 13, 2009

Until they find a way to play old Game Boy games, I think I'll wait on buying my DSi

RE: nintendo DSi - Raykon - Apr. 13, 2009

^I doubt they will, they don't want us to be buying their old games, they want us to be buying all their new and updated games and consoles ... You could just buy a Gameboy advanced for cheap and buy the Nintendo DSi to.

RE: nintendo DSi - MuchWow - Apr. 13, 2009

they will... hackers will find a way!

Uhh, then why would they have the Virtual Console on the Wii? The VC is a great way for them to make money on games that were made years ago.

lol what?

nintendo has made a living off of having us pay an arm and leg for nostalgia

case in point: excite bike was twenty carping dollars

RE: nintendo DSi - Neeek - Apr. 14, 2009

I've decided to get one for my Birthday, they look like fun. Smile

RE: nintendo DSi - MuchWow - Apr. 14, 2009

i dont think am gonna get it. but if the new games are only able to run on it! then i will have to.

RE: nintendo DSi - To - Apr. 14, 2009

Nintendo should have put a mini-usb port in the DSi because I want to import some of the audio I've messed with to my PC. And I'm pretty sure it won't save onto the SD card.

Seriously My gold cartridge is dead, so I probably would get it if I had a DSi and this was available.

If the cartridge is dead because of the internal battery, you can replace it yourself or send it off to nintendo and they replace the battery in it.

I did it once for my silver iirc.

RE: nintendo DSi - DriggerDX - Apr. 16, 2009

My brother got one last week. It is pretty handy to surf the web on, even if you can't watch videos on it.

The problem is there doesn't seem to be that many improvements, apart from the VC.
I will get one eventually, due to some new games being made specifically for it, but i'm in no hurry. If I have to wait for a price fall, that's fine.

My Crystal won't trade. Crying Or my friends Silver, I dunno which. They should trade together right? I tried numerous links and GBA setups and none of them worked. I was so upset. Crying

There are several cases of this. The timing is incorrect on different releases of G/S/C (metal/2nd gen) cartridges and some may not trade if they are linked gameboy to gameboy.

This can usually be avoided by using a nintendo 64 with transfer paks for the gameboy cartridges to battle and trade and the game Pokémon Stadium 2. I don't even know how close you live or whatever but if you're ever over this way I have a setup we could use to battle. Metal gen was the best thing EVER. =D

EDIT: By the way, I didn't C+P this, in fact most sites don't even list this. It's just from personal experience. I should add it to bulbapedia tbh...
