MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 12, 2010

I hope this is in the right place. If not someone tell me immediatly so i do not waste anyones time. Thanks in advance

This is a guidline to the MFB Hasbro Product line.

Pegasis Thunder Whip (PTW) Stadium - Do not buy! Worse than any TT or Hasbro stadium ever made! Waste of your time and money

Lightning Force (LF) Stadium - It is your call really. I personally enjoy this stadium. Waaay better than a PTW but not as good as any TT stadium. It is cheap and is good for those who dont have the time or money to obtain a TT stadium. More testing needa to be done but so far it seems fairly balanced.

Stampede Stadium- Although not released yet, it appears to use the LF mold and has 3 holes in the center. probobly not a good buy for competative bladers. only for recreational players and those who like a challange

Face off Sets - Must haves. Cool color variants in addition to 1 bey being a color and part variant. Good for spare parts and combo testings! also cheaper than buying 2 beys individualy.

String Launcher - Hasbro's slightly improved Beylauncher, but not by much. Decent price. No Left versionor suspention system as of yet, and it is not comatbile with the TT suspention system. regardless, it is a great buy for Hasbro bladers, since not everyone can get a TT beylauncher. Now with Hasbro's shorter ripcords, thos item is needed more than ever for Hasro bladers

Wind Launcher-You wind your bey up and press a button to launch. it produces weak results and you cannot use launch techniques with it. Do not buy ever.

Launcher Grip (individualy) - It is a good item, but it is better to get the item that comes below this one on my list. Only buy this if you need more than 1 launcher grip. No launcher included

Flame Sagitario Combo Pack - Comes with Flame Sagitario w/ launcher and the launcher grip. Cheaper than the individual bey and the grip combined seperatly. Good buy.

Vortex Stadium Battle Set - Not very good. The stadium is horrible and it comes with alot of unnecisary carp. It does however come with special ltd chromes of Storm Pegasis 105RF and Lightning Ldrago 100HF. From a collectors point of view,
no one in thier right minds would want to use them, because that would ruin the chrome paint. However, from a competative playets point of view, the 2 neys included include many valuable parts needed for several top tier combos (one being Lightning Ldrago 100RF) Its price is decent. Generally, it would be easier just to biy the beys alone without the set used, but generaly, the prices are much higher. This is a decent buy for competative players and a good buy for collectors

Assembly Chamber - Makes bey assembly quicker and easier, but not by much. Can hold up to five beys in a storage compartment, though this thing takes up the space of like 7 beys. Price should be lower. Its your choice, but i wouldnt really recommend this item

Electronic Beys - Has a removable facebolt that is compatable with regular beys. Also is the only hasbro item to include a longer ripcord. In addition, the launchers included are compatabile with the beys from the plastic series. The electronic beys themselves are garbage, but the little extras it comes with make it some what worth while, especialy for those who dont have the longer ripcords. Price could be lower though. There are also no color variants, which makes these boring. It is really your call

Tell me if i left out anything!

IMO, Beylauncher part sounds more like you're not recommending it and it is not compatible w suspension.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Pyro - Oct. 12, 2010

The Winder Launcher is a grip thing, that allows you to wind up your bey, and releases at the push of a button.
Not really a good buy.

Same with the face off one

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - mchlbant - Oct. 12, 2010

Not really, IMO :\

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 12, 2010

oh thats the wind launcher? that thing sucks

Thanks for string launcher info. both sections were tweaked

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2010

Do we really need this ? Hasbro will release almost the same things as TAKARA-TOMY, and we already have the "What to Buy in MFB" topic. If, for instance, we found out that the Lightning Force was really good in the end, then we would simply add it. Here, you are not even being specific : a few Faceoff Sets are useless compared to others.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - XBlader - Oct. 12, 2010

Maybe i missed this, but didn't hasbro release a portable bey stadium that could fold into a suit case? Shouldn't you include that aswell?

what? the face off section got a very positive review. how
did that confuse you?

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - mchlbant - Oct. 12, 2010

50/50 buy for beylauncher ? More like 99/1.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 12, 2010

that is the mobile stadium. it is listed here

Kai-V: true but that thread doesnt provide a list or summary. also i kept this brief so that i would not bore people. also, these are all Hasbro specifuc items i am
listing that will not be released by TT. this is just a giude, not more nor less
no the string launcher. while it does boast minor imorovments from the TT beylauncher, it isnt comatanile with the suspention system and there is no L version. thats is why
i put it as 50/50.

i would actualy like imput on the string launcher. how does ot fair agianst a Beylauncher R with no suspention?

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Kai-V - Oct. 12, 2010

The Beylauncher still has to be recommended, especially with how ridiculously short Hasbro's winders are. We just discussed that in the other thread.

Anyway, this is not a topic I would sticky ...

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 12, 2010

fine then. i will change it

as for your last comment Kai-V, give me a break lol. besides, this is the last thread i am making for a while. once i get an idea to say something, it must be said...or i will spontaniously combust into flames and die =D

ok that is so my new sig lol

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Brooklyn-Z - Oct. 12, 2010

sorry missed how that was a bad thing...jk..anyways wouldnt recomand anybody look at this for what to buy....

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 12, 2010

that was cute =( really, your support is overwellming me =(

lol?

edit: To tell you the truth Brooklyn-z, thanks to that new comment, my sig is perfect. ty
no hard feelings

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Ultra - Oct. 12, 2010

For the vortex set why would you not buy it? You can use the blades in it to make Lightning L drago 100RF which is a good combo and also if you have no stadium then this is a very good set to buy.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - ShredderN64 - Oct. 12, 2010

No one really cares about chipping paint. That's like playing baseball and worrying that the ball will get dirty.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Mc Frown - Oct. 13, 2010

Don't make threads about topics you don't know enough about.
Like Double Packs, they're like 30 cents less than 2 single beys, generally not a worthwhile purchase.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 13, 2010

last time i checked the face off were 2-5 bucks less than buying 2 seperate beys. where are you looking? toywiz? i am talking local stores

and other than the electronoc beys section, this info is ligit. just needs some minor
tweaking is all. who knew bladers could be so hostile...

that is just my personal opinion about the vortex set. every body complains about ruining the paint of Bakushin Susanow and Counter Leone, and yet you are willing to ruin the beatiful chrome of these 2 beys just for the sake of making a common top tier combo that can be easily made with non ltd beys at a much lower price? that is why i saod collectors only. just go buy Ldrago and Pegasis seperatly. it is alot cheaper and the results are the same

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - Mc Frown - Oct. 13, 2010

It really depends on the store.
The cheapest B:MF products ANYWHERE that I know of are at Target's in the U.S.A., where a single bey runs you 6.99 USD, and a Double pack is 14.99 USD. Considering the awful parts in most double packs, I'd usually advise people to just get single beys.

Except, that the point of this thread is to give impartial advice. If you're going to add your own opinion, there's no point.

It's not about hostility, it's about keeping to standards. You've posted a lot of incorrect information recently and it can be misleading for others.

RE: MFB: What and What not to buy from Hasbro - LeonTempest - Oct. 13, 2010

From what i remember, the best ones are Pegasis Tornado Wing and Lion Gale Force Wall. Really, the only ones that suck are the ones with a dark wheel

yah arget is pretty good, although i always prefer to buy from a private owned store rather than a chain. true it can be a bit more expensive but it is better for the economy
heart: see my incorrect info is coming from a source (who will remain nameless) that i thought was reliable. i see now that my source is no longer credible and that i myself will have to buy some of these products to truely tests thier worth
