So the weirdo from the anime is called Kadovar, and Team Persona has to pass his test to begin climbing the X Tower. The fact that we're just dropped into the chapter rather than naturally revealing this is a bit lacking, because this all has to be explained through narration. The Bey Crafting stuff is pretty cool, and the paneling of page 16 suggests that Multi being super rich could be an important plot point. Multi, or rather her family being rich could be an interesting direction to lean into for her.

Now we have Burn Fujiwara, a member of Yggdrasil. His idealogy of being born with insane potential, leaving him with an obligation to be the strongest that he feels he must fulfill is very interesting. He kind of feels like he's a character written by Hiro Morita, which is obviously a good thing. I hope they capitalize on his potential in the future.

Bird's resolve to win through a proper fight was cool, and Hells Chain looks great. Unfortunately, he still lost easily and only won from the time limit, which lacks the same impact, making it feel like a technicality. To be honest I'm disappointed with Bird's performance this month, they tell you he improved but they didn't actually show that at all.

Wyvern Gale's Avatar is cool but it looks really similar to Dran Sword tbh. Speaking of Dran Sword, Dran Dagger's inclusion really felt like an afterthought, but given how Hobby Manga work I'm not too miffed about that. If anything it leaves more room for the anime to expand on it's presence which isn't a bad thing.

I’m sorry, but bird just sucks. And I don’t know why the writers thought it was a good idea to keep rewarding him just to be carried by 2 actual pros every-time he loses. I mean they even made him the leader of the group for some reason. And I understand, he is going against other pros and he is basically still an amateur. But still, when do they plan on giving him some development? The final episode where bird could possibly battle chrome ryugu? So all of the L’s he is taking leads up to that final episode where he might actually win? That would be horrible writing and I hope the writers don’t plan on doing that.

Ain’t gonna lie but your completely right. 
I tried to be patient with bird and have faith they would actually tell a good story with him but literally he just loses and hasn’t even begin to progress!
How is he supposed to develop as a character if he keeps losing! Unless the do something drastic or actually fix his character I really hope mid way the take him out of the spotlight and just leave it to Multi and Kamen to people who are pros and actually know how to blade.

I don't think it'll take that long for Bird to get a proper win. Like, Yugioh 5ds did it, and it proved that waiting that long would still technically be satisfying, but at what cost? However, I can still empathize with you. It's fair to say they're dragging his losing streak on, and the development resulting from it has been like 50/50 so far. The thing is, Bird's character arc is one where you need to see the conclusion for it to be properly judged as a whole. A year from now, everyone will probably either talk about how Bird was the goat or fraud from day 1, but in reality, that's impossible to see right now.

Ngl you might be out of line, but you're completely right. I genuinely think the ideal character arc for Bird, rather than being a cookie-cutter hero's journey, would be for him to fall into the "weak" archetype of characters.  I'd love for Bird to come to terms with his weakness and use that to shape who he truly is, someone who can't reach the same heights as everyone else. Especially since practically everyone around him is insanely skilled and he's just a normal person, they could pull a "blame this on the misfortune of your birth" type thing. They've already kinda tapped into this with Bird wanting to beat Kadovar in a proper fight, and his fight VS Multi, but I hope they commit.

Kadovar knows Maiden, so getting a battle between them would be cool (I just want Maiden to fight more than once). However, the bulk of the next few chapters should be featuring Burn. Since Multi being rich seems to be an ongoing mystery, and Burn is the heir to a megacorporation, he could recognize her and give us some answers to her identity.

I know Kadovar mentioned Ekusu fighting Burn, but I think that would be kind of lame. Having every strong opponent default to fighting Ekusu would stop our other members from facing real challenges. Assuming Burn faces Team Persona as a part of a Team match, and that the other members of his team are fodder, I'd like to see Burn fight both Multi and Bird, and leave Ekusu out of it for now (I know Dran Dagger would be getting shafted, but someone has to take the short end of the stick).

A battle with Multi would follow up on my idea of Burn recognizing Multi, and give some more insight into her situation. If Burn loses this match he won't be able to fight Bird, and whether this would be a good time to give Multi  loss or not depends on specifics, and speculating on those goes a bit too far into fanfic territory for this post. Because of this, I think it's a safer bet to have Bird fight first, and lose.

I think Bird fighting Burn would be a very good chance to give him some development. Now, Bird loses to everyone, Burn shouldn't be different, however his ideology, and how this would parallel Bird as a character, make me think this battle should be special.

Him being a naturally gifted prodigy given everything from birth, VS Bird who's an average kid who had to start from zero. Him saying that he was chosen by God parallels Bird's beys having a hell theme. Also, he believes he should fulfill his role as a Blader because it's the situation he's found himself in, VS Bird also being an aspiring pro and taking the back seat on the team.

All of these have the potential to fuel an interesting character dynamic if that's the direction the writers wish to take the story. Because of this, a fight between them would probably be the best time to have Bird finally actually evaluate how he's doing at the moment. Let's be honest, he's super weak, and this is made worse since he's surrounded by a bunch of super-talented people. I think it would be better for him to go over this, and even embrace that he's weak, rather than simply resolving to get stronger.

All of these ideas are haphazard, and I don't think they all directly go together perfectly, but seeing these implemented into the story would result in a version of it that utilizes its fullest potential imo (at this moment in time).

But how would Bird embracing that he’s weak make him a better blader? It’s not like he can satisfyingly fulfill his dream by riding on the coattails of others.

I'm assuming that Bird will never become stronger than his rivals, just because of circumstances. This is probably a giant stretch, but I do find the idea interesting, because as you said, he wouldn't be able to satisfactorily fulfill his dreams this way, creating an interesting character dilemma.

Multiple different conclusions could be drawn from that assessment, and I think any one of those, rather than one made by him just wanting to be stronger normally, would be more interesting. As an example, maybe he realizes that he'll have to rely on others his entire career if he continues how he is now, so he decides to cast everyone, friends and rivals alike, aside. Or maybe he completely gives up on trying to actually become stronger than others, but just for the sake of simply defeating them, as a way of emulating his dream of actually surpassing everyone else.

These are the ideas I was trying to get at with my post.

Maybe he could use strategy to defeat opponents that overpower him. He was elected the leader after all, so I assume he has some intellect. And it seems better than him just being carried by others.
