What you don't like about MFB

So MFB has been out since August now. We know enough about current and future products to start talking about exactly how we feel about the series. So, let's talk about what we don't like about MFB.

I don't like the shooter technology. Even if they want each shooter to only work in one spin direction, which I'm fine with, the Dual Shooter tech was so far and beyond the original shooter tech that it seems rather backwards that they went back to it. The only flaw with the Dual Shooter were the connectors, and that would have been easily solved by simply using the current MFB connectors.

The fixed right spin/left spin is nonsense. Fix the shooters, not the Wheels! It's becoming increasingly likely that L Drago won't support right spin, which means it's a left spin Upper, which is useless because Upper needs to be in the same spin direction to work! L Drago looks to have strong smash in Right but it's useless.

What's even more frustrating about that is that it clearly wasn't the original concept. Looking at pictures of the early Pegasis mold, it's obvious that it was intended to spin in left as well as right. I can only assume this was a last-minute decision, and a poor one. It effectively halves the number of strategies that can be used.

I understand that they're trying to stagger the release of useful parts, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. Too many Beyblades are being released with rehashes of old parts, and now we're getting Hole Flat, a Flat with a hole in it. Unless it's to be combined with some future gimmick (why not package it with that gimmick, then?) it's really useless and when they eventually do decide to release something better we're all going to have cases full of useless parts.

I no longer manage nor work for the WBO. Do not PM or e-mail me questions about Beyblade! I will not respond!

It really is sad that if they do release better technology later, a great deal of the current parts we have will be rendered useless.

I completely agree with you, Brad. I dont like that they have already re-released several parts parts. What I also dislike is how far back they went in bey-tech with the launchers. And, personally, I REALLY miss weight disks as well as the previous seasons. I`m also still hung up on the cheap packaging Pinching_grin .

The shooters wear quickly, & I've had two now out of the packet that didn't work Pinching_eyes_2 (I fixed them) but its quite frustrating. & I didn't really like how the wheels get sratched up so easily.

as well the parts we have now, might be useless in the future.

I'm not as interested in MFB as I should be... I keep up with the news and such, but it still doesn't spark my interest as well as it should. This could be because my MFBs are still waiting to be shipped from MOJ since the only one I've had experience with is Sagittario.

Edit: but yeah, I have the same opinion about how we went too far back in technology.

I don't really miss weight disks, but I am bothered by how top-heavy MFB are. Hopefully we will see some tracks that will alleviate this issue.

Yea. Did you have any ideas? Like different D125 track weights (btw, did that gimmick actually work?) or maybe metal faces of some sort.

I think faces with metal in the middle of the screw would be really good.

You addressed all of my concerns, Brad. Specifically the fixed right spin/left spin nonsense they've created in the Wheels. It is beyond me why TAKARA-TOMY chose to do such a thing.

The only thing I don't like about mfb is pretty much the only customizble parts are wheel, track and bottom, makes the outcome kinda bland I still plan to buy them, the next series should take a step forward and not back.

I think their focus is more on getting newer people. That's why they're going back to basics.

ding ding

This series is not marketed towards previous players; most of them are grown up and not interested (not everyone are nerds like us!). It's marketed towards getting new players interested. So, compare it with the original plastics ... MFB is a little more advanced than that. Wink

Ya I guess we'll have to wait till they come up with somethin new for beyblade, but i'll still enjoy this series. Its not that bad but they should re-release the plastics 4 us "bey veterans" just to show they appreciated us buying beyblades, yada yada yada.

While I'm frustrated by the same problems everyone else is, I still like the series and I am glad Takara didn't pull some sort of cross arms bullshit.

I think we're all happy with the series for the most part and definitely glad it isn't Cross Arms! This is just a place to voice what we're not happy about.

Well, after HMS not having a dual launcher is a bit of a back-step and the shooter compatibility of wheels are a total bullshit as we can't use neither Wolf nor L Drago wheels for their right purpose(Damn you Takara-Tomy for such crappy decision Angry)

Im not happy about the whole booster/starter thing. The prices vary to much, boosters have diff parts.
I always liked the idea that if you have enough launchers you can get just the blade for cheeper but the fact that the parts are different annoys me.

You know im spending money because spending time is hopeless.
And know i pop bottles cause i bottle my emotions.
At least i put it all in the open

Libra was released as a Booster only.

I imagine this is going to become a lot more common as time goes on.

Also, Takara never offered both starter and booster versions of a single product; it was either a starter or a booster. So your point is moot in that case.

I don't care for the fact that wheels are coated in some weird paint. Bare metal is sexier.

I remember saying I'll wait till christmas before buying and its close but I really dont care for them...
