BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 4
SATURDAY, MARCH 24, 2012
HARBOUR SQUARE PARK - Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 1pm
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

Calling all Toronto-area Beybladers! The anticipation has begun! BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 at AN 2012 is only a few months away! So, you think you've got what it takes to rise through the rankings against some of the toughest competition in the world? If it's a yes, then we want you to come and prove your worth at the fourth installment of the BEYBLADE CRUSADE series of "Recruitment Sessions"!

But how is this tournament linked to the main event, BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 in May? Well, the two strongest among us will be granted the powerful ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 at ANIME NORTH 2012 this year, should they attend. Do you choose a Blader who you perceive to be weak, or do you purposely choose a top level Blader to put a dagger in his or her chances, and perhaps more importantly, their BeyPoints? That's for you to decide if you can conquer the playing field at BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 4!

Location:
We've never hosted a tournament at Harbour Square Park, so if you guys have any questions about how to get there/where it is, please post them here! To help you guys out, here is a map, and a few photos to help guide you:

Yeah, I noticed yesterday ... In a normal situation, I might move the tournament to High Park, but since there's a possibility that some of the World Championship qualifiers could attend this tournament, there's no chance of that happening. The only thing I can suggest is for everyone to bring an umbrella. If it starts raining, we'll protect the stadiums from the rain and wait it out.

(Mar. 22, 2012  10:24 PM)ColarBlader2003 Wrote: my friend went to a tournament and he got out by missing the stadium

Well, of course he "got out" (I assume you mean, "lost)! You have to launch inside the stadium to have a chance to win. The only instance where something like that would not be held against a Blader is if there was a launcher malfunction, or if someone interfered with their launch. In the first case, they would be free to use one of their two Reshoot Clauses, and in the second case, the round would be re-done.

One is better than none!

LOL,but anyways the weather is pretty unpredictable-it might stop raining.
And I am sure there were a few covered areas in Kei's pics.So maybe if we all cram under there...

if it rains we should go play in the first or second pic cause there is some thing on top blocking it so we kinda have some protection plus the umbrellas that we should bring and need so we should be fine there for the day

You'll forever be "ZeoFlameByxis" in my mind. Tongue_out
12 hours (or so) till the tournament! Ima bring my Black Sun to show off >Grin I really hope it doesen't rain. I be sad if it does D:
it looks like its gonna rain today by the forecast and by the look outside but whocares!
Yes, I hope everyone still goes anyway, for the sake of the few world championship representatives who might show up, but also for the sake of having a presence as the World Beyblade Organization near the location of the world championship. There are already not a lot of people who confirmed they will come, so do not let your laziness give in to the fact that it could be raining, and go.

Got some bad news...

Unfortunately, this and beyblade crusade 2 are the only tournaments I'm going to..for good. My dad doesn't wanna drive downtown but if I try to convince him...it might work and I can go to more tournaments..As of now, I'm not as excited as I was a few hours ago.....

Seriously? D: How far away do you live? Is Dufferin Park and High Park–where we usually host our tournaments–too far away for you?

Anyways, I'll be heading out soon. See you all there!

Thanks everyone for coming out and putting up with such poor conditions today!

Final Standings
1st: theunderdog
2nd: JesseObre
3rd: Kei

As the top two finishers in this tournament, theunderdog and JesseObre will now be able to choose who they play in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2.

Still can't figure out what happened in that last battle between theunderdog and I. Confused Time to do some actual testing!
My record is 3-7 (3 wins - 7 Loses). Odd part is one of the 3 people I beat was Kei. Hah.

You're going to earn like ... 30 BeyPoints from that one win LOL. Sucks for me because I had just won a battle against SarabScientist with the exact same matchup! Ah well, that's how it goes sometimes.

If I had beaten theunderdog in our last battle, he, JesseObre, and I would've been tied at 8-2. What was odd about it was that Jesse had just beaten his Scythe Aquario D125WD combo with Death TH170 (220 height) CS, so going into our match, I figured that the same combo with Duo would do just as well, if not better ... but that wasn't the case. I was also using MF-H, so maybe that made the difference? Confused Who knows.

edit: Just did some quick testing. Death and Duo without MF-H on TH170 had no problems defeating the Scythe combo ... but when I tried Duo with MF-H again, the difference was noticeable, and it had a much more difficult time staying upright. Makes sense, I guess, since without MF-H, the weight is not as centralized. Don't ask me why I used MF-H to begin with (or better yet, why I didn't use an Attack type!); it was cold and windy and I clearly wasn't thinking straight hahaha.
I forgot to ask, what were the prizes?
