Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

Thanks a lot guys! Your concerns mean a lot.

Even if the robber IQ was -300.
Man, I don't know about Montreal, but in my region we had a pretty big ice storm that caused a massive blackout during thursday night. There's broken trees everywhere and I heard some power lines were even touched by the ice or the broken branches.

Finally after 24 hours, (thursday-friday) the blackout ended and we can finally use the phone and access the computer. The feeling of being trapped was not enjoyable at all...

I'll post some pictures later if I can. One of our trees is heavily broken.
Today I learned just how complicated it is to get your hands on tickets to large concerts in Japan. Leo Ieiri is starting another one-man tour in September and I decided I would buy a ticket to the Tokyo show in December (Also the last show of the tour).

Right now ticket's haven't been released for the public yet, their still on pre-sale, but the pre-sale is limited to fanclub members, which I'm not and can't join because I don't have a Japanese address, phone number or credit card. But hey, that's alright, the pre-sales are only raffles. There might be some public pre-sales as well, but we just don't know yet. Either way, that's also just a raffle.

Basically I probably have to pay a middleman to line up and get my ticket when they first go on sale. I don't know how popular Leo Ieiri is, but I was warned that it'll probably sell out within a couple of minutes since she's at least popular enough to get a one-man tour. Whether I win the lottery or get my ticket from the public sales, I have to go through a middleman regardless.

I just want to see the show, it's so close to my apartment. Why does Japan have to make this so complicated? T-T
Japan's concert ticket lottery system is sort of fair, in my opinion, because while it does give priority to fan club members, they are also not guaranteed to get tickets for all the dates they applied for, or any ticket at all. Dir en grey has so many fan club members that they would probably have gotten all the tickets in the first round if it were not for that system.
India beat Pakistan in cricket and now everyone is so mad haha. I don't even understand the rules but the atmosphere got me into a bad mood as well lol.
Cricket is cool and pretty simple to learn. If you're at all interested, it'll probably only take a few minutes to get the gist of. I guess Cricket is pretty big over there. Their "version" of soccer.

The system is definitely fair, and I actually like the idea as it still allows you a chance to get a ticket to an otherwise sold-out show. My complaint is more so that it makes it harder to actually get a ticket as an outsider.
Twitch watches pokemone, great! It's extremely funny to watch the chats reaction to the episodes haha!

Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Pokemon! Grin

The mall near me has 1 of 2 Nintendo Kiosks in Canada, where they were celebrating the 20th anniversary by giving away 50 copies of Pokemon Red or Blue for the 3DS! I was able to get one of the last copies of Pokemon Blue after they changed the it from 1 game per person to 1 per family (due to the big turnout). Along with that, they had 20% off all Pokemon merchandise, and had a variety of Pokemon games to play on the 2/3DS'. To top it off: a raffle for a 3DS plus a copy of Pokemon Red and Blue!

Pretty good day, glad to see everybody happy about the event.

Here are some pictures from the kiosk (on the day of and before (warning: big pictures)) Grin

Pretty rad Hato! Wish we got stuff like that down here in Vegas. If I had planned ahead, I would've loved to have some sort of 20th anniversary party with some of my other Pokemon maniac friends.

If it makes you feel better, the current Nintendos kiosks are in Canada only; 1 in Vancouver and 1 here, in Ontario.

Hey, maybe plan to come over here to Toronto ;D

If the current presidential election keeps going the direction it looks like it is, I'll definitely consider moving to Canada.
Speaking of presidential elections, if you guys are disillusioned with the two main parties, feel free to write me in. I'm registered with the FEC, so I could be your protest vote Wink I even have a website.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules with my shameless (well, almost) self-advertising here, haha.

Pretty cool that you're with the FEC. I'm not disillusioned with the two parties; they're working just as they have been for years. I'm mostly disillusioned with the American people, both the ones voting and the ones running for President.
TeamFourStars' account got blocked on YouTube. Copyright issues or something.. For anyone who doesn't know them by their username, they created the Dragon Ball Abridged series and I'm just so sad Unhappy

Edit- They were blocked yesterday .. just checked and they are back again Tongue_out

"Working" is a term I would use loosely. Functioning? Yes. Functioning well? That's another issue entirely. But politics isn't really something we can talk about on the forums, so I'll leave it at that, haha.

Yah I heard about that. It seems like everything was fixed, but they said that this has happened before, I believe. It must be tedious to have to deal with that on even a semi-consistent basis.
So the other day I was at school minding my own business when a strange man and one of my teachers walked from the side doors.

Turns out that teacher is @[SuntailHawk].

He's teaching us Orgami (which i've discovered Im horrible at doing).

Small world. small world indeed.
Whaaaaaaat.

Mind=blown.

My favorite super hero of all time showed up today in Captain America Civil War. I've known he's going to be in it for months, but it still felt great. I love how they made his eyes move and how film makers are relating to the comics much more. It makes it feel a lot cooler in my opinion. I am very excited for this film.

Pretty weird man. He got all my beyblade references which made me feel like less of weirdo.

He might come again. I dont know.
