Haha, not sure there's a great place for a charcoal barbecue around there :p

Yeah, the intense heat of everybody's Blader spirits would burn the meal.
Better not cook near the Beyblade room... Dumb Rimshot
I went to Michigan's Adventure today.
I just got terminated from my job. At least they let me resign first. On the bright side, I'll have more time to work on cleaning the Beyblade Burst manga and catching up on some anime.

I probably have another job lined up, my friend is having his boss pull my application once I apply. Still, this situation kind of sucks.

D: that sucks, if you don't mind, what kind of job was this?

I worked at a camp. We rent the grounds out to different groups, whether it be to church groups or something like the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation. I was a host, so I was essentially an errand boy. Basically if the group needed something done, I did it. I mostly set up for the group's activities, moved mattresses, carried buckets of water, plunged toilets and just made sure that the grounds were presentable as a whole.

Why were you terminated?

I played a joke on someone (Which they thought was hilarious) but someone from the rental group witnessed the joke and misunderstood what had happened. She told their leader, and then the leader accused me of something highly illegal. My boss and HR both vouched for me, but of course reminded me that I need to think about how my actions might be perceived by others in the future. They both agree that I was innocent but because of what the accusations were, and due to the fact that this group pays the camp $120,000+ USD to stay on the grounds for 4 days every year, I was terminated.

I'm not mad about being terminated, I was planning to leave anyway and they did allow me to resign first, I'm just mad about what that lady was accusing me of. She was being quite sexist towards me. Had I been a female, I would still have my job right now. And because of how much money they pay the camp it doesn't even matter what actually happened, they're of course going to accommodate anyone paying that much money, even if it means losing an employee when they are already understaffed. I don't blame the company, I'm just mad at that lady for what she accused me of.

This is something I ABSOLUTELY HATE in society right now.

No one could ever accept the other way round, but I'll save my sexism towards men rant for another time.

It can't be helped. The important part is taking what I can from the situation to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future. There will always be other jobs, but that lady's karma is going to get her some day.
Well I hope you eventually find one.

For me, I may get a job if I failed college.

Aren't you like my age? Oh well, better late than never. Congrats! I don't remember if I posted that I got my liscense about a month ago but if not, there you go lol.

Thanks! At least in CT, you can only get your permit at 16 or older and considering I turned 16 in December, I had no time to study during the school year, haha.

Can you get it younger where you are?

In Indiana, you can get your permit at 15 and your liscense at 16 and 3 months. Figures with my luck the law was 6 months when I got mine, haha.

December birthdays rule!
Can we please not discuss absurd things like "sexism towards men" here? Especially since this board is like 99% male, it doesn't make anyone look good.

Wizard, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job — that's always an awful feeling. Even if you were planning to leave, it sucks to have things happen before you're ready.
Fine then, I won't.. guess I'll try not hold my grudges on that as well...

What do you hope to do next Wizard?

Thanks. It'll work out, every thing happens for a raisin. Smile

Find a new job, lol. I'm applying where my friend works. They're understaffed in his department and he's going to ask his boss to pull my application, I should be fine. But between now and then, catch up on some anime and get back to studying Japanese. My last job was keeping me from so much with the crazy hours.
Sexism goes towards everyone and this forum keeps it clean and clear of religious and social debates so let's keep it this way.

Please don't try to get the last word in on a discussion while simultaneously saying we shouldn't discuss it. :p

I don't think such debates are a bad thing. Now if they turn into fights, that's a whole different story, but not everyone is so immature to fight about such subjects. Friendly debate never hurt the world. : D
I agree Kazaf. And when I was running this site years ago I think I would've let such a conversation slide or have even encouraged it. Or posted something even more controversial, probably.

Age has tempered me, thankfully, and I can see that the overall good vibe of the community and mental wellbeing of individual members is more important than making seeing this humble Beyblade community a free speech platform. I think the general rule here could be "talk about things that you love." Which is a much better way to get to know people.

If you want to have more adversarial discussions, I think it's better to become friends with people within the community and have those kinds of conversations on your own.
Well that I definitely agree with, especially the 'talk about things that you love' which I agree is better rather than talking about the negative things of life, because well... negative things just don't bring happiness to anyone. Only annoyance, anger, possibly depression, depending on the topic, hate, ect.
And only good comes of it; the care and support everyone showed due to the loss of my grandmother was very nice. Shows how nice the community really is in general.

Plus, if it was free speech, I'd be swearing like a banshee.
Haha I would have done it as well, there's other things I want to do if it was free speech, but dog worry it's not discussing any topics not allowed here.

I like you better as a normal user. I'm not saying you did a bad job running the site, I just think it's neat that you're one of us now.

One of us, one of us, one of us...

On a more off topic note, does anyone have recommendations for a video camera? Looking to get a new one and since alot of you guys have YouTube channels, figured I'd get your opinion.
