From seemingly out of nowhere, the third generation of Beyblade has burst onto the scene! Bladers of NYC, this is your chance to test your mettle, try out Beyblades from the exciting, explosive new series that is Beyblade Burst, build the best Beyblade you can, and receive one for yourself to take home!

"What's Beyblade Burst?"
Beyblade Burst is the brand new, third generation of Beyblade by TAKARA-TOMY! The Beyblades in this series feature a new "Burst Gimmick," in which they explode in battle! Only the strongest Bey will stay intact while the other separates!

Beyblade Burst only launched this past July in Japan, so it's still fairly new and exclusive. If you're not familiar with the new series, then please take a minute to look at the Beyblade Burst - Bey News Forum Thread.

7 Lucky Participants will get a new Beyblade to take home!
And listen, we're not asking for these products back, no way! They're really gifts to the community! Unlike at previous Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene events, everyone who attends this event will have the chance to borrow, build, and win a free Beyblade Burst item! The Bladers who place 1st-3rd will receive the following:
  • First Place: First pick at the 7 stock Beyblades provided to the host + B-02 BeyLogger + Light Launcher
  • Second Place: Second pick at the stock Beyblades + Light Launcher
  • Third Place: Third pick at the stock Beyblades + Light Launcher
The remaining 4 stock Beyblades will be raffled off among everyone else at the end of the tournament. That means everyone, regardless of wherever they may be travelling from, will have an equal chance at getting a new Beyblade at this event!!

To best keep track of the provided Beyblade Burst items throughout this event, all borrowed parts must be returned to a judge immediately following the completion of every BeyBattle. This way, anyone who may be about to play an official match will always have access to any and all of the parts in the pool, and we will always be able to guarantee nobody accidentally walks away with any of them!

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Beyblade Burst Events + Extra Credits!
To help subsidize the high cost of importing some of the new Beyblade Burst items from Japan, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene events, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene event), and there will be no prize reimbursement. We hope that everyone will understand this! The more funds we have, the more we can afford to do for the community in the future! We're actually going to be losing money despite this entry fee, and for those that receive a Beyblade, it will be much cheaper to get one that way than it would be to import one yourself (although we certainly hope you all do this after playing with them!). However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the event, all participants in Beyblade Bursts Onto the Scene tournaments will receive the following:
  • +1 Extra Credit to be used for prizes from our awesome Blader Rewards, on top of whatever they would have normally earned.
  • New Passport Holders will earn +2 Extra Credits, rather than just +1.

"But what about my BeyPoints? I've never played Beyblade Burst!"
No problem! The first Beyblade Event in every region will not count towards the BeyPoint System. Think of it as an opportunity to experiment and just focus on having fun with the new series.

Of course, as always, there will be Faces and Credits to play for. Wink

They were taking about what to use, loud so I could hear on purpose, and tricked me into thinking that he was gonna use Deathscyther, so I chose Valkyrie. But then he chose Wyvern and beat me Crying
I almost beat him anyway, even with Valkyrie, was up 2-1, but couldn't pull it off. Gg. Lesson learned. Won't get me with it again. If I would have chosen Kerbeus, like I was planning to, I would have smoked ya, lol. GG, it was good strategy, you got me this time but i'm gunning for ya next time, lol
I got 3rd and won a bey, but I gave it to a younger aspiring blader who didn't have any beys. I forgot what he picked

just about 12-14 two new comers made accounts today. Its good to see the new generation have a start Smile and simultaneously its touching enough to make a 16 year old feel old..
That's awesome! Congrats everyone who played, and a big thank you to Cye. Smile
Yeah, thanks a lot Cye for hosting! And of course to the committee and community for making it all possible : )
great job everyone! i had a lot of fun!
I had an awesome time at this event! Beyblade Burst was way more fun than I anticipated, and I can't wait for a Driver with a flat rubber tip to come out. Special shout out to UltimateOrion for judging the other block. The tournament would have taken forever otherwise. Shout out to Zoroaste for winning third place and giving away his prize to a kid who didn't have a beyblade of his own, and also for the conversation about HMS, because HMS is the greatest ever. We should play some time. Shout out to Leone 7 for being the one to catch me for the stadium code. Sorry someone took your phone Bro. Hopefully it gets returned to you.

I don't really remember who chose what other than I think Leone 7 chose Valkyrie. I'm working on the spreadsheet now but here are the winners:
1st Place: StormJupiter
2nd Place: Leone 7
3rd Place: Zoroaste
Lol I would have probably caught you if I didn't have my box out. I felt someone would have stole it. There will be another tournament in November that Leone7 will be hosting. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for hosting @[Cye Kinomiya] I hope you come to more tournaments and host more often!
Yeah Cye, bring your hms next time and we can play before or after if I can make the trip next tourney. Or if there are enough people with HMS to have a tourney for that alongside another format, that would be even better. Thanks again for hosting. I had a great time
I might start coming out to more events, but I have to get my hands on some Bust stuff first.

For the record, with proper sleep, even if you all teamed up on your best day you wouldn't be able to catch me in that playground.

Solid turnout, really happy to hear everything went well. Smile
Cool, I can confirm that we got the fees too, and I just gave UltimateOrion his Passport Face.
It went unexpectedly smooth.

What about UltimateOrions's DJ face?

haha, welcome to competitive beyblade tournaments
Yeah, in retrospect, if I was second guessing myself, I should have chosen Amaterios Heavy Assault. That way I could sliding shoot it against stamina or stall against mobile defense
That was a great tournament! Did any body take videos ?
