NEED HELP!!

So I had a virus on the computer and borrowed my friends installation disk and now it runs perfectly. But now it's asking for a product key, so I thought it would be the one on my friends disk, so I asked him and he says he's not giving it to me as it might screw his computer up. I used the one on the sticker on the side of the computer and it says invalid.

NOW WHAT DO I DO?!?

Anyone know any computer experts?!
Google is our friend....BELIEVE IT
I've looked on google, but they don't use words I understand. I'm not the brightest person you'll meet!
What operating system are you trying to install?

There's pieces of software called keygens or key generators that you can look up and they will generate a code for you.

NOTE: Most of these keygens and crack software are ILLEGAL so use at your own risk.

The best solution would be to go out and buy a legitimate copy of the OS and use that. If you don't want to buy a new OS you should definitely take a look at Linux, especially the Ubuntu, Redhat and Linux Mint distributions.
just a question.....HOW THE HELL DID YOU POST?
Yes if I knew what OS you were using I could help you, I have multiple copies of each OS from windows 1998 and up to 7 and never used a product key. You will need to turn off your automatic windows updates however and it gets dangerous. Incidentally your friends product key will not screw your or his computer up. Its just a way for the OS to know that its valid and without online registration then theres no way to pair either of them up.

Yes, which version. theres Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Also your friends product key WILL work. You just cant verify your copy of windows if he has already done so
